The ability of re-inventing or to make over completely carries an element of radical break(through). Unlike Madonna, who with her Re-Invention World Tour 2004 achieved the highest revenue in any concert of that year at an estimated 124.5 million dollars, some areas of the Balkans have a long-standing history of re-invention at high costs and with an almost complete abolishment of the existing culture. History is rewritten, with reinventions of the political system, the city structure and its society – not only its pop(ular) culture. (more…)
