Lexicon for the Provisional Future(s)

Emotional Jukebox

img_1617Give me that song, and the next one, and the one after that, play me the whole album, everything you think I will (already) know, everything you still remember knowing, because me and you, we need that which needs no translation, and we are going to take the space we need now, to relate – and be awkwardly brilliant together. We scream and insist to show each other what we know, our limited knowledge of certain lyrics that are full of meaning and we’ll use them to get over whatever has been thrown at us. Maybe because this trip is about returning, we go back where it is weird but safe, and we will endure the melancholy of open roads and old songs until we get tired of believing we experienced something authentic. We know very well we like to drift that we are the kind that always starts again, somewhere, with someone new, by accident.
